Anxiety

You don't have to go at this alone. Anxiety and/or stress is difficult to manage because sometimes our mind and body do not appear to agree. When you are dealing with the physical symptoms of anxiety or stress, your heart rate may increase, you may perspire, you may breathe a little more shallow, and/or you might find yourself holding your breath altogether. While experiencing these physical symptoms of anxiety, it may appear as though these symptoms come out of nowhere and you may try to mentally calm yourself down. Sometimes this is effective, while at other times we need outside support to calm.

To address your anxiety and stress, I will offer you exercises/tools, somatic perspectives to help with anxiety and I will offer grounding exercises to help you regulate your nervous system. Together we will approach your anxiety and stress with compassion, treating your defenses with respect and curiosity.
